Montessori Distance Learning with Boom Cards

As a Montessori educator who was thrown into the world of distance learning, I spent so many hours looking for ways to replicate Montessori materials in an interactive digital format to engage my young students during virtual circle times.
I didn't find much that was commercially available, so I started creating my own PowerPoint presentations and interactive Google slides. Those worked, but I quickly learned that they had limited capability for drag and drop types of activities, and since I was working without an LMS platform in place, it was challenging for me to send these activities to parents for my students to work with at home.

And then I found Boom Cards!

I quickly learned how to create my own Boom Cards that were representations of Montessori materials. These were interactive activities that I could use during morning circle time and send to my families easily. I could add my own voice to the activities, which made them more personal for my students. I also found TONS of ready made Boom Cards that I could use as well.

These activities didn't take long to play, so screen time minutes could be minimized. I was also able to cut down on the amount of prep work for families since Boom Cards don't require any printing or cutting out.

If you are a Montessori teacher that is looking for ways to enhance distance learning for your students check out the Boom Card activities that I have made here. Good Luck!
